Summary

In this multi-media contemporary adaptation of A Christmas Carol, a young woman in corporate America has lost sight of the meaning of Christmas.  As Christmas Eve approaches she is haunted not only by the ghosts of Christmas but by the ghosts and shadows in her own life.  The Ghosts of Jacob Marley, Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come are all played by puppets and the production features live music and Christmas carols. Through this use of puppets and projections Scrooge is forced to confront the love and music she walked away from and the bleak and fatal future she is chasing in the name of success.  This Christmas Eve, Scrooge is given one chance to change the course of her life, and therefore the lives of all those around her.

Scrooge as well as the majority of the cast is female. Christmas Future takes place almost exclusively in shadowed projections.

There is a major contrast between the cold, callous, and metallic world that Scrooge lives in and the warm, vibrant and musical world of those around her.
